well, whether we had planned to or not, let's consider this a "soft" launch of our new forum.

the idea of this Forum is to cover the various types of tool watches, regardless of their brand. there are so many great brands that may not generate enough traffic to support their own forums, but are closely related to other brands, and other types of watches, so that there should be good discussion.

Think of the Porsche Design brand, along with the Orfinas and Orfinas. Sinn, Tutima, Doxa, Favre-Leuba, Certina, etc. . . . the list of brands that have made "tool watches" is virtually endless. Some of those brands have dedicated forums elsewhere on the internet, but they seem to be of interest to many of our core group (Heuer and Omega collectors), so this new Chronotools Forum should be convenient for them.

So we'll discuss them here, expecting a good bit of cross-over, with our existing Omega and Heuer forums. No need to be rigid with the boundaries -- we'll be happy to discuss the Heuers over here, and the PD's on the Heuer forum, as may be appropriate.
