Re: Some tools for consideration

: Thanks for the comments. I am very pleased with
: the Lemania, a recent acquisition. I am
: considering blasting the case to tone it
: down a little, as I think polished is not
: where it started off......

: The Tissot is another Lemania, a 1341, which is
: a simplified 1343, or Omega 1040, or Breguet
: XXI, depending on which way you look at it,
: and whose badge it is wearing!

: Cheers

Maybe you know this story more accurately than my scrambled remembrance.

Ebel sells a movement they call "in house", an Ebel 137.

It's in this watch:

Now, the story about this movement is that it is the 1040, or 1341, heavily modified. I don't know if that is true and hoping you could enlighten me.

When I first heard this, my research about the Omega/Lemania movement compared to the Ebel 137 led me to doubt the story. It just seemed too altered and too thin.

Understandably, Ebel is not forthcoming on the subject.

Any insights?

Sam
