: "First and foremost they are designed to
: perform a specific duty and perform it
: well."
: We need to modify this passage to state
: something like: “ First and foremost they
: are designed to perform a specific duty
: [above telling the time] and perform it
: well.”...
IMO, they also have a "I-mean-business" look to them. They don't necessarily look "cool", but must look "authoritative". Nonetheless, I agree with the comments above.
I consider these to be great tool watches:
*Rolex Explorer 1, pre-saphire crystal #
*Rolex Submariner, no date, chronometer, model 5512 or 5513...my memory is uncertain.#
*Rolex GMT (not GMT 2) ONLY in stainless steel.#
*Omega GMT, Black face ##
*Omega "Plo-prof"
*Omega Speedmaster "Moon watch"
*Tutima FX UTC - As fas as I know the only chrono GMT with 24hour bezel. I wish I had one.
*Many Sinn watches - I am learning about this brand, and the more I learn the more I like.
# - I used to own one.
## - I have one now.
I like the idea of this forum!
