Hello CT,
The Omega Suveran is a true collectors item and it’s full of history.
This reference, the CK2400, was only produced for three years (1943-1945), and this particular watch dates back to 1944. As Sweden was declared neutral during World War II, the Swedish government bought this watches directly from Omega and sold them to their citizens with a mark-up to have a financial independence.
The case is in great condition, with no significant flaws. The movement is running strongly and keeping great time. But, the dial is what made me fall in love with this watch: the radial luminous numerals, full of radium; the big, oversized sub-seconds; the thick and crisp syringe hands… If it wasn’t enough, the grey ‘ghost’ paint is in great condition, too.
If you’re looking for a military Omega from the 40s, this is the way to go.
