FS: Vintage 1940s Breitling Chronomat 769 ~ SS Case ~ Serviced

Greetings,

In my view the 769 is a classic, this is the earlier version introduced in 1942 with the slide rule bezel, red inner ring. I enjoy how this watch is the beginning of the tool watch DNA that carried Breitling forward to modern times. I had the Venus 175 movement serviced a few years ago by a Breitling-trained master watchmaker, and it works perfectly and keeps good time. You will notice some lume missing; I have chosen to leave it rather than changing the originality, and there is some paint loss to the index at the op part of the dial. There is a bit of corrosion between the crown and pushers. I love it with the included hornback croc band. I have included a ChronoTrader tagged image. I have references on ChronoTrader, WatchUSeek, TimeZone and eBay.

$2200

I offer a three day inspection period: once you receive the watch, you have three days to check it out, enjoy it, show it to your watchmaker. You can contact me at any time in those three days and return it--for any reason--in the same way that it was shipped to you. I'll inspect it on receipt and if everything's the same as when I sent it, you'll get an immediate refund minus any shipping costs or payment fees I incurred.

Cheers,
Morgan
