FS: Three chronographs on eBay auction ending in 24h!

Hello CT,

For sale here we have three amazing chronographs ending in just 24h on eBay. It is your chance to grab one of them (or as many as you wish).

Here are the details:

HAMILTON FONTAINEBLEAU

Link to auction: https://www.ebay.es/itm/303614162278

Maker: Hamilton
Model: Fontainebleau
Functions: Date, Chronograph
Case Material: Stainless steel
Case Width: 47x41mm excluding crown and pushers
Case Thickness: 13mm
Crystal: Plexiglass
Lume: Yes, tritium
Lug Width: 22mm
Box/Papers: N/A

The Hamilton Fontainebleau was a big deal to the brand. In 1966, Hamilton brought Buren and they collaborated with Heuer in 'Project 99'. This project used Buren's Intra-Matic micro-rotor in the development of their own automatic chronograph movement. A few years later, in 1969, the Chrono-Matic (Chronograph and automatic) caliber debuted, also known as Caliber 11.
Hamilton decided to inaugurate their Caliber 11 with the Fontainebleau, named after the chateau (castle) in France. The waterproof is reminiscent of the Heuer Monaco, released in the same year.

This particular piece has a two-tone, panda dial that is in wonderful condition without any significant nicks or scratches, featuring a date function at 6. The crystal has some visible scratches that could be buffed out. The case is in very good condition, not polished to our knowledge. The movement is working as it should, winds, sets and resets perfectly.

BME REGATTA CHRONOGRAPH

Link to auction: https://www.ebay.es/itm/303614162287

Maker: BME
Model: Regatta Chronograph
Functions: Chronograph
Case Material: Stainless steel
Case Width: 40x43mm excluding crown and pushers
Case Thickness: 14mm
Crystal: Plexiglass
Lume: Yes, tritium
Lug Width: 20mm
Box/Papers: N/A

BME, although not a very well known brand, managed to produce beautiful and aesthetically pleasing watches as this Regatta Chronograph. Manufactured in the 1970s, it has all the features you would imagine a 1970s chronograph watch had: funky and colorful dials, cushion type cases and Valjoux movements. This particular watch has a stunning blue sunburst dial with contrasting white subdials. The subdial at 3 features the chronograph minute counter as well as a Regatta countdown in two 5 independent minute countdowns (one in blue and one in red). The hands are in immaculate condition, and so is the dial, with all the lume present and turning into a creamy custard lume. The all steel bezel rotates both ways and allows for another way of timing things, we must say that is in stunning condition as well. The movement, one of the cleanest Valjoux 7733 we have ever seen, is working flawlessly. The case is unsigned and so is the movement and the crown. The watch has been throughly checked and works smoothly.

ZODIAC CHRONOGRAPH

Link to auction: https://www.ebay.es/itm/303614162265

Maker: Zodiac
Model: Chronograph
Functions: Chronograph
Case Material: Stainless steel
Case Width: 36x42mm excluding crown and pushers
Case Thickness: 12mm
Crystal: Plexiglass
Lume: Yes, tritium
Lug Width: 19mm
Box/Papers: N/A

This zodiac is the true representation of the funky colors and forms of the 1960s, and specially, the 1970s. The colorful yellow/orange-ish chronograph hand contrasts beautifully with the matte grey dial. This characteristic can also be found if we look at the thick tritium lume plots.
The crystal is in good condition with some light scratches. Crown is incorrect, original from Tissot, but it doesn't affect the correct functioning of the chronograph. The movement is a very nice looking Valjoux 7734 with unknown service history but working smoothly.
The tounneau case is in remarkable condition featuring sharp bevels. The watch is signed 'ZODIAC' in the dial, movement bridge and case back.

Thanks for looking!
