Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. For sale from my personal collection is this rare and amazing 1960s 1st execution Rotary Aquaplunge 666 Ft. Rotamatic Skin Diver featuring an A. Schild AS 11700 automatic movement. This is the very first series of this iconic dive watch!
The watch is in excellent condition, the stainless steel case is unpolished and in excellent shape, the domed acrylic crsytral is scratch free. The unidirectional aluminium bezel is in perfect condition.
The glossy black dial has a slight bit of patina, very cool inner 24 hour markings, the broad hand hour hand, toothpick minutes hand and seconds hand have still got the original lume. The caseback still has the original 666ft. engravings on the side, but they are hard to capture on photo.
Diameter without crowns is 36mm, with crown 40mm, 39mm length, 12mm thickness including the highly domed crystal which sticks 2mm out above the bezel, it wears bigger than the numbers suggest. Lug size is 18mm and the watch comes on a new and unworn vintage leather strap.
Inside ticks a lovely A. Schild AS1700 automatic movement, unknown service history, keeps good time, winding and setting the time are very smooth, the watch runs excellently, see timegrapher results.
My price is 595 EURO
If you have any questions or remarks please send me a DM.
