Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. REDUCED- these are also listed on eBay under my username piecesofthegame. A better deal can be had here.
Offering for sale these three beautiful vintage Pre-Synchron Doxas from the late 1960s. These divers need no introduction, and are highly collectable. None of these have been abused, as they frequently are. As my tastes have slowly evolved, I’m not wearing divers these days and these deserve to be enjoyed by a fellow diver collector. I will describe all that I know about each. Plenty of additional pics available. Honest and straightforward seller, no funny business here. Scammers, please don’t waste your time or mine...I’ve heard them all. Payment will be by PayPal only, I will absorb the fees for the right buyer who is serious. A fair discount could be given if someone is interested in purchasing all three. I would strongly prefer a US sale but will consider all shipping options for the right buyer, with references. Please reach out with any questions. Prices are slightly negotiable for a serious buyer.
1. Doxa 300 Searambler...nice original, vintage condition. Perfect dial, Clear crystal, nice clean case. May have been lightly polished at some point but has correct brushed finish and edges are reasonably sharp. Movement is clean, operates as it should, keeps good time, although I have no service history. The crown is a later Synchron crown but I have the correct Doxa crown to include with the sale (just haven’t sourced the right stem to install). Also the caseback is a service replacement. It’s exactly like the original but without the Ship logo and seals properly (I’ve been on the lookout for a vintage replacement). No dents or significant scratches. Bezel is very nice. Has the original Doxa expanding bracelet in remarkable condition (the bracelet itself sells for $2500). You will simply not find a cleaner example of this watch, which is seldom available anyway. Far superior in every way to the few examples I’ve seen. The lower profile case is suitable for any occasion. You will not be disappointed in this Doxa.
In consideration of the replacement caseback, priced at $6600.
2. Doxa 300t Professional...also nice original, vintage condition. I purchased this piece from the original owner many years ago. Nice dial, clear crystal, nice clean case. May have been lightly polished at some point but has the correct brushed finish and edges are reasonably sharp. Bezel is very nice. Movement is clean, operates as it should, keeps good time. Original Doxa screw down crown works properly (unusual for these). Case is very nice, no significant dents or scratches. Includes original Doxa expanding bracelet in excellent condition. This piece is In far better condition then most that appear for sale.
Priced at $4400.
3. Doxa 300t Sharkhunter...nice original, vintage condition. Dial is like new, nice clear crystal. Case may have been lightly polished at some point but retains correct brushed finish. No significant dents or scratches. Bezel is very nice. The crown is a generic replacement but does screw down. Movement is clean, operates as it should, keeps good time. Also the bracelet has a replacement clasp. The original clasp with Doxa logo is included but may not be repairable and is rough. Just a very clean Doxa.
In consideration of the replacement crown and clasp, priced at $3200.
