Up for sale is lovely OMEGA Seamaster XVI Melbourne, watch is all original and in good working condition.
Case Color: Gold, Case Material: Rose Gold, Movement: Mechanical (Automatic), Band Material: Leather, Dial Color: Cream, Band Color: Brown, Case Size: 35 mm.
This Seamaster XVI was produced as a Limited Edition and is today one of the most sought after vintage Omegas. Powered by Omega automatic caliber 501 instead of cal. 471 of the earlier watch and reference 2984 instead of 2850.
The dial has printed omega script as opposed to attached logo and two tone dial finish. Case: stamped 315.164, 2984 and all 18K gold. All Olympic design (as per 2984) reference but without the Olympic crest and with standard Hippocampus.
The case shape of the XVI Olympic watch was adopted for the 2984. It is believed this is the final iteration of the XVI range in the new reference and using the 501 movement, Good condition of case, dial, hands, crown, with very little wear and age signs.
Sharing the case and general design of the Constellation Pie Pan but with the added rarity and history this is a fantastic piece for any collector.
Comes with the box but no papers, it has always been properly preserved.
Asking Price for this beauty is USD$7000 OBO
