For sale is a pre-owned excellent vintage condition 40mm stainless steel Rolex GMT Master. The 16750 is an 8.25 million serial and dates to approximately 1979, making it an early matte dial example. The watch is accompanied by a period correct box, instruction manuals, date card, and translation booklet. No guarantee papers are included in the sale of the watch. The 16750 features a matte black dial with luminescent indices, date aperture at 3 o’clock and bidirectional “Pepsi” insert. The dial appears near mint with the tritium hour markers having aged to a pleasant light cream color. The hands have aged a shade lighter than the dial, which is common for the reference and are believed to be original to the watch. The date wheel is original with open 6 and 9s. The red-backed aluminum insert has aged well with a vibrant, attractive coloration with wear from daily use throughout. The case appears to have likely been polished in the past and shows signs of wear consistent with daily use. Overall, it presents as an attractive vintage piece. The GMT Master is mounted on a later Rolex Jubilee bracelet which dates to approximate 1984. A Rolex caliber 3075 automatic winding movement powers the 16750.
