Hello All, I'm moving some pieces around and putting this Benrus Type 2 up for sale. Here's the skinny on this. THE GREAT - - It's what is really considered a Gov't model or Gov't issued because it only has the serial number case back. Unlike the fully blank case backs which were really likely prototypes issued before the contract in 1972, these serial only watches were likely made outside of the general contract and issued to some departments, THE GOOD - It's running well and holding time THE GOOD BAD AND UGLY OF IT - It has obviously lived a life, case shows a fair amount of dings and scratches (see photos) it has a modern silver second hand (not original) which looks ok and was the best I could find to use, the crown has a dimple and looks good, but I don't think it's original, the lugs have been drilled to accommodate springbars and the original crystal is well crazed. I've seen few of these pop up over the years and none lately. I've posted tons of photos and can answer any questions. Asking $5,000 (accept regular Paypal) + Shipping. (REMINDER - PLEASE READ THE GOOD BAD AND UGLY SECTION OF THIS POST )
