FS: Heuer Date Pasadena Ref. 750.501-3

For sale, this intriguing and very well preserved Heuer Pasadena AKA the “ No Name“ as for the absence of the word Pasadena, normally printed on the dial.
This is an early 80s watch that helped keep the company afloat when quartz was becoming the predominant trend in the wristwatch world.

Despite financial hardships, Heuer remained true to traditional swiss watchmaking. The Pasadena is an important piece of Heuer’s history that was heavily inspired by the legendary Porsche Design chronograph 1 and it doesn’t cease to impress! This fourth interpretation of the Pasadena model displaying only the date function is extremely rare. Please read the condition report carefully to help you assess the overall condition of the watch.
MODEL / REFERENCE:  Heuer Pasadena ref. 750.501-3, serial no. N/A
DIAL+HANDS: The Original matte black dial is copacetic and homogenous with no visible speckles or discoloration. It is beautifully clear and simple, keeping the Valjoux 7750 layout with placed sub-dials at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock and a simple date window at 3. The hour markers are set with lume stripes and dots. The printing on the dial is still very crisp and the hour markers have aged beautifully, developing a warm custard patina as the Tritium appears to be intact.  The outer periphery of the dial displays a very legible Tachymeter scale in very good condition. The hands are original and are in mint condition. The Tritium has developed a matching patina to the hour indexes.
CRYSTAL: The plexiglass crystal has been lightly polished and displays only minor surface scratches.
MOVEMENT: This timepiece is powered by a workhorse 17-Jewel Valjoux 7750 automatic movement with date feature, running second hand and 12 hour chronograph recorder. It is in excellent working order: sets, winds, auto-winds, quick set date, and the chronograph starts –stops and -resets crisply.
CASE: The chunky tonneau shaped case measures 41mm in diameter, crown excluded and 45mm lug to lug. This tool watch has seen some action and is in used vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. It shows some wear throughout, displaying minor scratches and dings especially on the side. Please refer to the photos.
CASEBACK: The six notches stainless steel screw-in caseback is in used condition showing some wear and scratches. It appears to be untouched, retaining its original brushed finish. The engraving is very legible and deep suggesting that it has never been polished.
The inner caseback displays the previous service marks indicating that the watch had been in good hands and well taken care of.
CROWN + PUSHERS: The crown is correct to the watch despite not being signed. The two chronograph pushers are correct as well and operate flawlessly.
BRACELET: the watch comes with a full length aftermarket stainless steel bracelet showing some stretch and Z-375 Endlinks. The overall condition matches the case’s with some minor wear and scratches throughout.
 ACCESSORIES: None
The Pasadena is one of the better-looking chronographs of Heuer’s later period. This model has been constantly evolving for over a decade and practically every version had a limited production run. This fourth execution of the Pasadena model in solid stainless steel had a very brief production run. This steel version appears to be rarer than the PVD coated ones.
A sturdy and rare watch with a vintage spirit and modern proportions.
The price is 2,470 CHF (Swiss Franc) or best reasonable offer plus shipping at actual cost. Low ball offers will be politely ignored.
