FS: Autavia 1163T “Siffert” cal. 11 with box and papers
I am looking to sell this fine Siffert Autavia with its original box, papers and bracelet.
It's 3’rd gen. (Crosthwaite/Gavin book) or Mark 4 (OnTheDash) http://www.onthedash.com/chronograph/autavia-1163t-siffert-mark-4/
The pictures will do most of the talking but bear in mind that some are high res macro and reveal details that the bare eye can't see.
Let me go into some details.
Case:
Original and unpolished with good sunburst grinding but naturally also some stories to tell after 50 years.
Both serial and reference number between the lugs are very clear and easy to read.
Serial Number: 203576
The bezel is so flawless that it has probably been renewed at some time.
Dial and hands:
The dial is very good with deep white color and crisp blue markers and all the original lume present. The lume has a nice and creamy color and matches that of the hands.
The hands have a little pitting as you can see on the macro pictures.
Movement:
The movement is the classic Heuer/Breitling/Buren/Dubois-Depraz caliber 11 Chronomatic.
It's the original and rare unmodified ca. 11 - not the modifies technically better, but less collectable cal. 11I. Enjoy the bi-metal oscillating pinion in the movement macro.
Chronograph functions as it should and resets to zero.
My watch checked it first week April 2022 and it is running strong and precise. I believe it was serviced 2 years ago.
Bracelet:
The bracelet is full length with 11 + 7 links and in good condition. It is stamped 2/71 which means that it is produced 2’nd quarter of 1971. That matches the production date of the watch. Enjoy the fine Gay Frères chamois (goat) head logo in the macro shot.
Box:
The box is worn in the hinges’ but looks good and the insert is intact which is far from always the case.
Papers:
The papers are stamped by Montres & Bijoux, Piazza De Ferrari, Genova, today an authorized Rolex dealer. They didn't fill in the date, reference and serial number, but next time you are in Genova you can ask them to do that;-)
Price:
This is your chance to get a complete 1971 Autavia set - something that doesn’t happen every day!
I have reduced the price to € 11.500 via bank transfer. PayPal +4%.
Insured worldwide delivery with FedEx included.
Feel free to ask any questions or request more pictures.
I am a long time watch collector and can easily give you references in the Heuer community. Also visit my Instagram profile “petermmdk”.
Thanks for looking
