Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
These vintage Aquastars are incredible enough as-is; here's a Lorenz example, made specifically for the Italian market, which don't come up in this condition much.
CASE: 37mm (without signed crown) is in excellent original unpolished shape. The caseback's worn, but the reference and serial numbers are visible with a 10x loupe. The original crystal is in very good shape, with no crazing or cracks. The inner bezel rotates with the crown pushed in, as it should.
DIAL+HANDS: Pictures are the better description, but: this is in all original, unpolished shape. The hands are just barely lighter than the dial's lumeplots, which is common—this is identical to my Scubapro example; this has not been relumed. Everything glows and fades identically. Incredible condition.
MVMT: The A.Schild movement's running great; a new gasket's been installed, but otherwise it's not been touched or serviced while I've owned this. Keeps excellent time, the date flips as it should (and can be pseudo-quickset by adjusting back and forth from 2100 to 100), but again, I don't know the service history.
Price is $800. Happy to work out shipping+payment method with the buyer, and happy to answer any questions or provide as many references as requested. Thanks for looking, and for Jeff/CT for the space.
