Model / Reference: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Airking, Ref. 5500. The serial number 7'573'xxx dates it to around 1983

Dial+Hands: attractive dark blue dial with vertical brushed finish in original condition. The edge of the dial shows some signs of aging around the luminous dots, which can only be seen from a certain angle. The tritium luminescent dots are present and intact. The writing is clear and distinct.

When activated with UV light, the luminous dots and hands light up and then fade.

The hands are probably later Rolex service parts as the lume glows longer than the lume dots.

Bezel: Steel bezel in good condition with slight signs of wear

Glass: Plexiglas in good condition with slight signs of wear. The glass is polished by the watchmaker before delivery.

Case: 34mm (approx) stainless steel case in good condition with signs of wear consistent with the age of the watch. The reference and serial number engraving are absolutely sharp.

The case is 39 mm long, the lug width is 19 mm and the thickness is approx. 12 mm.

Caseback: Original stainless caseback in good condition. The inner case back is factory engraved and bears the reference numbers.

Crown: Rolex Twinlock screwed crown Movement

And function: clean and fully functional automatic movement cal. 1520, 26 jewels, 19800 rpm. The movement runs well and keeps time well.

Bracelet: Rolex steel bracelet 78350H with 557 end links. The bracelet is in good condition with a slight stretch. It fits a wrist of approximately 16.5 cm. Additional links on request.
