Dear All
CWC Royal Navy Diver Wristwatch c.1996
The Cabot Watch Company (CWC) was established in 1972 and supplied watches to the British military and various government organisations.
In 1980, CWC was awarded the contract by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to supply wristwatches to the Royal Navy to replace the much-coveted Rolex Military Submariner.
The early CWC Royal Navy Diver wristwatches were powered by automatic movements until 1983 when quartz movements were introduced and used until the last examples were issued in 2000.
From 1980 to 2000 it is believed CWC supplied around 3,000 dive watches to the Royal Navy and only around 300-500 are thought to have been issued in 1996.
The CWC Royal Navy Diver for sale is in wonderful overall condition.
The dial is in excellent condition with no obvious flaws or blemishes.
The hands and crown are all correct to the original specification of the watch.
As expected, there are several scratches and marks on the outer casing of the watch.
The ETA 955 quartz movement is in good condition with a new battery recently fitted.
The watch diameter is 41mm.
Please see photos below:
