FS: Vintage Bulova Accutron Spaceview, tuning fork from 1971

I am offering for sale this ready-to-wear Bulova Accutron Spaceview from 1971 with its iconic 214 tuning fork movement that served as a frontrunner of a broad range of fascinating tuning fork watches subsequently built under Bulova license by such renowned manufacturers as Omega, Zenith, IWC, Longines and Universal Genève (to name just a few). The special feature of this example is of course the original lack of a dial, allowing an unobstructed insight into the tuning fork movement.

Details:
► Well-preserved tonneau-shaped case with original finish (brushed front and sides, polished bevels), one small dent on the lower edge of the case at approx. 1:30 o'clock (see picture no. 5)
► Original version without dial (“Spaceview”), luminous material on minute track and hands completely preserved, second hand in bright orange color
► Bulova 214 tuning fork movement (emits no ticking, but a quiet humming (360Hz) that accompanies the smooth gliding of the second hand), runs precisely with a conventional 1.55V button cell, no special and costly 1.35V solution such as Accucell-1 required
► Winding flap (instead of a crown) and battery compartment as well as clearly legible imprints on the backside
► Swiss production, according to serial number; year code N1 = 1971
► Signed and polished acrylic crystal
► 2 watch bands: black crocodile print leather strap (used & sanitized) + either a brand new orange leather strap matching the second hand or, alternatively, a modern, unworn black Tropic style strap (see last picture)

Dimensions:
► Diameter: approx. 38mm
► Lug-to-lug: approx. 43mm
► Height: approx. 12mm
► Lug width: 18mm

Price:
For this vintage Bulova Spaceview I am asking EUR 590,- plus international insured shipping according to destination.

And now for the pictures:

The watch is located in Austria (EU) and so am I. I do have plenty of international references from various watch enthusiasts (also known here), so please feel free to ask for them.

Just for the records: I am a private collector and, therefore, the watch comes without any personal guarantee given by me. Nevertheless, I am offering to give a full refund less fully insured shipping expenses in case the piece sold would not be as described by me (within an inspection period of three days and to buyers from within the EU only due to the complex customs procedure in case of an overseas deal).

Thanks for reading and thanks to the Chronotrader platform and its host!

Kind regards,
F.Antl
