Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
ok...tough decision but i've decided to part with one of my grail watches: a vintage orfina/porsche-design 7177 military chronograph. super-tough to find in this condition with the more desireable "by orfina" dial variation -- this one is an ex-venezuelan military example to boot!
remarkably for a +40 year old timepiece, the condition is easily EXCELLENT+...case has modest scuffing/evidence of wear, crystal is pristine, caseback shows wear -- but you can still make out EJERCITO DE VENEZUELA engraving signifying its provenance. i've never had it serviced, but the movement keeps fantastic time -- all timekeeping/setting and chronograph operation/reset all function properly. i will note that the day/date quickset will occassionally take a couple extra turns before engaging.
will comes fitted with an aftermarket bracelet as shown which fits the hooded lugs perfectly and matches the lines as ferdinand porsche intended. for grins i'll throw in a couple pieces of original materials -- a 1-page glossy and the instruction sheet.
this watch is a looker -- take a look at the images to see for yourself! asking $3995 + shipping. i've been buying/selling online for +25 years with established bona-fides on timezone, watchuseek, mwrforum, chronocentric -- references on request.
