FS: Longines “Weems” RAF Mk VIIA 6B/159 Wristwatch c.1940 *LINK*

Dear All

For sale is this Longines “Weems” RAF Mk VIIA 6B/159 Wristwatch c.1940

These beautiful wristwatches were issued to RAF navigators and pilots during the Second World War.

Happily, an extract from the Longines archives accompanies the watch, which confirms it was invoiced on the 13th April 1940.

The Longines “Weems” for sale is in excellent overall condition, having been recently serviced by our highly skilled and experienced horologist.

The dial is in lovely overall condition with a beautiful, even patina.

The wonderful blued steel hands, winding crown and locking crown are all correct to the original specification of the watch. The bezel is an original replacement. The winding crown, locking crown and second hand are new replica replacements.

As expected, there are several scratches and marks on the outer casing of the watch, which are commensurate with age.

The 12.68N calibre movement is currently running well and keeping reasonable time.

The watch diameter is 34mm.

Please see photos below:

The watch is listed for sale on our website, priced at £12,995, which includes a free six-month warranty and a newly fitted NATO strap.

For further information on the watch for sale, please feel free to call us on 0207 117 2807 or email us direct via info@finest-hour.co.uk

Many thanks and regards
