FS: Cyma WWW Dirty Dozen British Army Wristwatch c.1945 *LINK*

Dear All

For sale is this Cyma WWW Dirty Dozen British Army Wristwatch c.1945.

As many of you may know, these watches began being manufactured and issued to the British Army in early 1945. There were 12 Swiss manufacturers of the W.W.W. watches and as such, the collection is commonly referred to by collectors and dealers alike as “The Dirty Dozen”. Only around 20,000 Cyma W.W.W. watches were made for the British Army during WW2.

The watch for sale is one of five being sold under our SAS (Sign-A-Strap) Campaign on behalf of the UK-registered charity, Veterans With Dogs.

Our campaign aims to increase awareness of the charity’s important work and raise them some much-needed funds.

Our objective is to raise £1,000 for Veterans With Dogs. To do this, we have pledged a donation of £200 for each of the five pre-selected watches sold.

To aid us in our mission, we are delighted to have recruited the kind help and support of legendary SAS veteran and TV personality, Mark “Billy” Billingham MBE.

Each watch comes with a special maroon NATO strap personally signed by Billy, together with a signed copy of his fantastic book, Further.

The Cyma WWW is in excellent overall condition, having been recently serviced by our highly skilled and experienced horologist.

The dial is in lovely overall condition.

The hands and crown are all correct to the original specification of the watch.

The casing is in excellent condition with very few noticeable marks or scratches. The glass has numerous stress fractures.

The Cyma 234 calibre movement is in good condition, is running well and retains its original dust cover.

The watch appears to be fitted to its original wartime two-piece leather pigskin strap.

The watch diameter is 38mm.

Please see photos below:
