FS: Buren W.W.W. "Dirty Dozen" British Army Wristwatch c.1945. *LINK*

Dear All

For sale is this Buren W.W.W. "Dirty Dozen" British Army Wristwatch c.1945.

As many of you may know these watches began being manufactured and issued to the British Army in early 1945. There were 12 Swiss manufacturers of the W.W.W. watches and as such, the collection is commonly referred to by collectors and dealers alike as “The Dirty Dozen”. Only around 11,000 Buren W.W.W. watches were made for the British Army during WW2.

The watch for sale is in lovely overall condition.

The dial is in lovely overall condition without any obvious flaws or blemishes.

The hands and crown are all correct to the original specification of the watch.

It is common to find the outer casing of these watches in a bad state of repair. However, the casing of the watch for sale is in excellent condition with no major wear or tarnishing of the chrome plating.

The 462 calibre movement is in good condition and still retains its original dust cover. The watch is currently running well and keeping good time.

The watch diameter is 36mm.
