FS: Fashion, unusual vintage watch (lugs, dial, markers)

I am offering for sale an exceptional and very well-preserved vintage watch with a two-face design from the little-known ‘Fashion’ brand, in a modern size (38mm). I have been unable to find any definitive information about the brand’s origins but the craftsmanship – with logos and signatures on the dial, case back and crown – suggests, at the very least, that the name was used with pride at the time of production (approx. 1960s).

Details:
► Stainless steel case with short, twisted lugs in very good, unpolished condition and with the original surface finishing (bezel and lugs polished, sides brushed)
► Distinctive sunburst-finished dial, divided vertically into a dark grey and a light grey half, and featuring horizontal lines between the raised hour markers, which, thanks to their faceting, gleam almost like gemstones in sunlight; no luminescent material (which makes it less susceptible to age-related damage in the long term); at certain viewing angles and under certain lighting conditions, the lacquer layer on the dial gives a hint as to where (presumably) the dial feet are; during normal wear, however, this is of course not noticeable
► Flat handset with black paint applied to the centre
► Non-screwed crown featuring an “F” logo (barely visible in the photos, but it is definitely there)
► Caseback with flat but clearly legible engravings
► High-domed acrylic crystal with an internal magnifying lens, freshly polished and in excellent condition
► Felsa 4007N automatic movement with red date display; starts and runs smoothly and keeps time with a (recorded) deviation of approx. 15 seconds per day (measured laid down, service history unknown); the date mechanism also works flawlessly
► Fitted with a new nylon strap (type ‘Marine Nationale’) in khaki green, which fits surprisingly well and, thanks to its variable length, is particularly comfortable to wear in summer

Dimensions:
► Diameter: approx. 38mm without crown
► Lug-to-lug: approx. 43mm
► Height: approx. 12mm
► Lug width: 19mm

Price:
I am asking EUR 230,- plus international insured shipping according to destination.

And now for the pictures:

The watch is located in Austria (EU) and so am I. I do have plenty of international references from various watch enthusiasts (also known here), so please feel free to ask for them.

Just for the records: I am a private collector and, therefore, the watch comes without any personal guarantee given by me. Nevertheless, I am offering to give a full refund less fully insured shipping expenses in case the piece sold would not be as described by me (within an inspection period of three days and to buyers from within the EU only due to the complex customs procedure in case of an overseas deal).

Thanks for reading and thanks to the Chronotrader platform and its host!

Kind regards,
F.Antl
