Omega vintage Seamaster automatic chronograph watch with caliber 1040.
This watch is dated ca. 1973, based on the serial number.
Comes with the original silver applied marker dial, which is seldom seen for this model.
Case: Original Omega stainless steel case in very good condition; some scratches from normal use visible, but sunburst finish can still be clearly seen. Never polished and never retouched. The case width is 40mm (including crown) and 41mm from lug to lug.
Bezel: Original Omega internal tachymeter bezel; no loss in paint, no yellowing of the white background, in good condition
Crown/pushers: Original Omega push-in crown in perfect condition
Caseback: Original Omega Speedmaster screw-in type case back; seamaster logo shows wear but still visible.
Dial and hands: Dial in silver with date functions; silver applied markers and black sword-type hands; dial is marked 'Omega', 'Seamaster' and 'Automatic'; both dial and hands are in perfect condition but yellowing of the lumes are to be expected.
Crystal: hesalite crystal , excellent condition, original Omega symbol can be seen at the centre.
Bracelet: Omega stainless steel bracelet in good condition, some scratches.
MECHANICAL CONDITION
Overall: Original Omega movement 1040; not tested or serviced, keeps good time and all chronograph features function correctly and reset to zero.

Fine and rare, tonneau-shaped, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman` s wristwatch with round button chronograph, 12-hour and 60-minute registers, date, 24-hour indication, tachometer and a stainless steel Omega bracelet with deployant clasp.
C. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, inclined bezel, screwed-down case back with Seamaster logo, haselite crystal. D. Bicolor silver and light blue with faceted black painted steel baton indexes and luminous dots, inner Arabic 5 minute markers, outer minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 12-hour registers, 24-hours with day/night indication by arrow on a revolving disc, 60-minute register with central blue-tipped “jet” hand, aperture for the date, outermost tachometer graduation to 500 uph. Luminous black “baton” hands for the time, blue hand for the chronograph function. M. Cal. 1040, copper-colored, 22 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometric index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 38 x 42 mm. Thickness 15 mm.
