FSOT: Vintage Bucherer Yacht-Master Lemania 1873 (images)

on offer is a handsome vintage Bucherer "Yacht Master" chronograph.

this watch dates from the '60s and features a cool inner rotating timing bezel with 15-minute countdown markings for sailing regatta races. the inner bezel's position is adjusted via the crown @ 10:00 and allows easy 15-minute count-down timing. neat! also works as a normal long-playing chronograph with the 30-minute and 12-hour chrono registers. this watch is powered by the legendary Lemania 1873 hand-wound movement -- the same movement as used in the Omega Speedmaster Professional "moonwatch"!

this particular 1873 movement is bucherer-signed and in ridiculously clean condition! as you'd expect from the robust 1873, this one keeps excellent time and all chronograph functions work perfectly. overall condition is a conservative "excellent".

the solid stainless-steel case is a modern man-sized 43.5mm diameter with appropriately broad 22mm lug spacing. the evenly aged dial has a warm silver star-burst finish with contrasting black sub-dials. the high-visibility day-glo orange chrono seconds hand really makes the dial "pop". the threaded caseback is also bucherer signed on the inside.

price is $1250 shipped in CONUS, paypal OK no addl fees -- i'd really like to move this one, so i will entertain "creative" offers, but please no insulting low-balls! tons of flawless references furnished on request. i've been collecting watches for many years and this one has real wrist presence, substantial size, an interesting movement, an appealing dial...it has it all!
