FS: Omega “Snoopy Eyes on the Stars” Limited Edition Moon Wa *PIC*

Model Name: Omega “Snoopy” Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch in Stainless Steel on Bracelet (Omega Model Ref. 3578.51). Rare Limited Edition of 2XXX/5441 examples made. This unusual limitation quantity number reflects the elapsed time of the Apollo 13 mission: 142 hours, 54 minutes and 41 seconds. The Snoopy Award design is etched and painted on the sapphire crystal case back. OMEGA received this award, the highest distinction from NASA astronauts, on 5 October 1970 in recognition of its vital role in the safe return to Earth of the Apollo XIII mission.

The legendary “Moon Watch” – flight-qualified by NASA for manned spaceflight missions in 1965 is the only watch ever to be worn on the moon. The Snoopy Award design is etched and painted on the sapphire crystal case back. OMEGA received this award, the highest distinction from NASA astronauts, on 5th October 1970 in recognition of its vital role in the safe return to Earth of the Apollo XIII mission.

Timepiece is Pre-Owned in gently used above 90% condition with no box and papers. Sale is for the watch only. Light hairline scratches on the watch case and bracelet only with no visible dings or dents. All serial numbers are intact on the case back.

Movement: manual winding, Omega 1861 (base caliber Nouvelle Lemania 1873); 18 jewels, 21,600vph.
Functions: hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds and chronograph.
Dial: black with luminous coated index markers and hands with “Eyes on the stars” painted on subsidiary seconds dial at 9 o’clock.
Case: stainless steel; diameter 41 mm; height 14 mm, bezel with tachymeter scale; Hesalite crystal, with sapphire crystal case back with painted Snoopy “Eyes on the Stars” patch.
Water Resistance: 5atm.
Strap: Omega stainless steel bracelet with push button release folding clasp (full links).
