Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. Up for sale is my late 60s vintage Heuer Camaro in excellent condition. The watch is all original, and the Valjoux 92 movement is keeping good time, all chrono function working flawlessly. It is fitted with a brand new black leather band. Case measure 38mm w/o crown. 41mm including.
The Camaro was introduced around 1968 as 'the newest shape from Switzerland'. The Camaro was only made in a short period 1968-72.
The cushion case style may originally go back as far as the 1930 's, but the Camaro was one of the very first "cushion case" watches in the late '60s. It was often imitated as a chronograph by the competitions but others never equalled the quality and design. In more recent years Tag Heuer went a lot into re-editing the classics and the Tag Heuer Monza could be considered as the reissue of the Heuer Camaro style. But this vintage Camaro is where it all started.
Valjoux 92 movement is a swiss made 17 jewel manual wind chronograph.
With 60s register, 45min register, pillar wheel sub second. And power-reserve up to 39 hours. It beats at a frequency of 18000 beats per hour
