Up for sale is my very rare Heuer 844 diver, made in France in the mid-to-late '70s by G. Monnin. This was a prototype watch made in France before Heuer decided to spend more money and have the watch made in Switzerland. Note the dial says “Metres” and “Professionel”. It truly is a piece of Heuer history. I am only selling because I don’t wear it often enough. I will probably regret selling it, but catch and release is all part of the program.
I was lucky and found a nice vintage TAG Heuer jubilee with the proper endlinks and I think it looks incredible on this watch. Other than the later bracelet, I believe this watch to be all-original. The mineral crystal has scratches – you can replace it or leave it original. I think it adds to the character of the watch. The 42mm case has scratches here and there, but again, it is all original and I believe unpolished. The dial is in perfect condition with no flaws. The patina on the dial and hands match perfectly. The watch runs very well and quickset date works as it should. It was recently serviced. The movement is a Felsa FE 4611A, more info here:

My price is reduced to $900 shipped (UPS Next Day) and paid with Paypal (I’ll absorb the fees). I am not interested in any trades for this watch at this time. I have plenty of references which can be provided upon request. Returns accepted within 3 days of receipt if the watch is not as described. Please let me know if there are any questions.
