I've decided to sell this cracking example of an Omega Speedmaster Mark III Professional Automatic (1971~1973) Reference: ST 176.0002 8)
I'm sure you will be familiar with the first Automatic Speedmaster , but here are some further details:
Movement Type: Automatic (mechanical)
Caliber number: 1040, 22 jewels
Functions: Date, Tachymeter, 24 hours, Chronograph Case: Stainless steel
Case back: Screw-in, Full metal
Dial: With luminous hands and luminous hour markers. Inside scale (4 types available : tachometric, decimal, telemetric, pulsimetric)
Crystal: Mineral (flat)
Bracelet: Stainless steel marked 1162
Water resistance: 50 meters
Case : "Pilot" shape (41 x 52 mm)
The all important 'helmet' case is in excellent condition with a lovely 'Starburst' finish applied:
and the stunning blue dial is the original 'T-Swiss Made-T' with the original handset:
Only having one noticeable 'dink' dink here:
and has just been Serviced & had a light Restoration by Swiss Time Services STS (25/11) at great expense (see invoice):
so benefits from having nearly all of the balance of a 2x Year Guarantee for peace of mind for the new owner.
Caseback is superb clearing showing the logo and Seamonster:
The correct & original 1162 bracelet was also refinished and any stretched links corrected.
I have also added a lovely condition and correct period Omega box (both inner & outer):
So in summary , a really beautiful example of a rare MKIII Speedmaster , lightly restored , Serviced & Guaranteed for the next 2x years and ready to be worn !
