I've got to be tough on myself if I'm ever going to focus my collection, so, alas, another piece is looking for a new home.
Apologise that it's a TAG & not Heuer!
TAG Heuer 273.306 Chrono Tachy / 2000 Series. c1986-90...
This is a rarely seen version, with the Tachy scale on the bezel.. if you give it a quick Google, you'll see that no results come up (expect for info on this very watch on my blog).
It's brother, with minute/hour bezel is more commonly seen, this one has a different model number.
It's in great shape with some signs of use, a few dinks/marks, there is a minor scrap on the bezel insert around the 11 o'clock area - please check out the pics. Runs perfectly, with it's 'ticks every half second - super quartz' movement - a quartz engine married to a mechanical DD2000 chronograph module. Comes on the original signed bracelet. It's just had a new glass and glass gasket fitted. Measures around 41 mm across, bracelet is decent size, around 7 3/4 inches. (I'll have to check if that's an issue).
Dial is just lovely, it has lovely aged lume, would make a great 'beater'!
Oh, It comes in a Blue TAG Heuer box, it's the only TH box I've had from this period, and the quality of it isn't perfect. I did wonder if it wasn't real, but I think on balance it is, as it's very similar to the Heuer plastic boxes from the same era. For the purposes of me not knowing - I'm just going to say it comes in a blue box!!
More info/history on this actual watch is on my blog..
