Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
For sale, one case for a third gen "barrel" Carrera ref 110.515. I bought this a couple of years back with the intention of creating a custom watch for myself with the blue CdG dial and the gold-plated barrel case but have never got round to it and it's time to let them go.
Unlike the dial, the case does show signs of use. There is a scratch on the mineral glass around 9 o'clock and noticeable dings and scratches on the case itself. The finish of the case is more satin than the grain of my other 110.515s but I have seen similar finishes on other watches so presume it was variability at the time; I can't rule out that this case has been refinished and replated so that is a possibility but please note the serial and electroplating references remain intact so if indeed refinished it has been done lightly enough to keep those intact.
Attached champagne tachy scale will of course be included, as will the original stainless steel caseback.
Asking £75 plus shipping at cost. Bank transfer preferred, though PayPal is possible for forum regulars, plus 4% to cover the fees.
The dial has been listed too, if anyone likes the sound of my custom idea and wants to complete the project!
Thanks for looking, Mark
