Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
JAC was a sub-brand of Cuanillon & Cie, (Heuers Swiss distributors). As most of you know that these valjoux 7750 type chronos were made in the 80's by various companies - Porsche Design, Le Jour etc etc.. as well as Heuer with it's Montreal & Pasadena models.
It's a very cool looking watch. It keeps great time, has light swirlies on the case & bracelet, but no deep scratches or noticeable dings, but in overall great condition. The crystal, dial, hands are all perfect. It all works as it should, chrono, auto wind etc, all works perfectly.
Comes on it's original full length bracelet. The links are removed via some sort of 'internal' spring bar system. The case and bracelet are factory blasted (the main case is flat blasted, upper case & bracelet are sort of brushed-blasted - see pics, you'll see what I mean!), another cool touch are the black day/date displays. All of which gives it a tool-watch quality. I love the fact that it is a 'stealthy' watch, with no known 'brand' on it!
The only 'fault' is the 6 o'clock centre endlink - it bows inwards a little, but someone with some time on their hands could probably easily gently bend it back to being flat.
It's a great size, big, but not overly massive, certainly has wrist presence. Stats are: 42mm lug to lug, 41mm case (44 with crown), 14.5 thick. The lugs are 19mm, the bracelet is the cut-in type, so it's 24.3mm wide & thins down to a 17.3 clasp. The bracelet is long - 21.5cm max length with the head (8.46inches).
It's on my blog here, in case I've missed anything out:
