If you know about vintage Heuer watches, then you have probably heard of Monnin.
G. Monnin was a French manufacturer who made the first Heuer dive watches back in the late 70's. The original Heuer Monnin was supplied with automatic or quartz movements.
Monnin didn't just manufacture watches for Heuer, and this is one example I have here. Almost identical to a Heuer with an oversized 42mm case and the legendary red '24' hour Monnin dial markings. 100% original and even has an '844' stamped case back.
This Bessa Prestige Quartz is in excellent condition with a perfect scratch free crystal. The case is unpolished and shows some small blemishes of wear but no deep scratches or dents makes this a very nice 30+ year old diver watch. The movement is a France Ebauches 8121 dated June 1980 and is in perfect working order.
The crown screws down correctly and the hands adjust without issue. A genuine Monnin at an affordable price!
Priced at £250.
Supplied with both leather tropic & rubber dive straps as shown.
Cheers,
Warren
Pictured next a 42mm Heuer to show the family resemblance. (Heuer not included of course)
