Oris Star CHRONORIS “Racing” Chronograph
c. 1970 Vintage
Superb ALL-ORIGINAL Condition!
For sale is this very rare all-original “Racing” version of the famous ChronOris one-pusher chronograph introduced in 1970. Oris developed its own in-house movement for this watch, mating it to a Dubois Dépraz chronograph module. This ChronOris is in fabulous condition, including the original Oris folded steel bracelet. This racing ChronOris features a black outer tachymeter bezel, and an inner minutes counter bezel, which rotates via the “crown” at 3:00. This inner rotating bezel allows the timing of events up to one hour in length. At the 4:00 postion is the normal Oris-signed crown operating the setting of hands, setting of the date (no quick-set), and winding.
The condition of this 40 year-old racing chronograph is stunning, perhaps one of the finest still in existence.
