FS: Heuer Night Diver Oversized

I've decided to let this one go as part of my on-going (failing) attempt to reduce my collection size.

Anyway, this is a c1985 Heuer Night Diver 980.032L 1000 Series, Oversized 42mm case, (about 44mm with the crown). This is the '1000' 'L' last in the series before the TAG takeover, so it differs from the earlier models - it has a slimmer, more elegant case, slightly recessed bezel, '1000' on the dial, a Heuer signed crown and elaborate Heuer signed case back - nice touches. As they were released just prior to the TAG takeover, not many exist - I've only ever seen 2 (IIRC), and I owned both. There's a niggle at the back of my mind that I have seen another, but I can't quite remember. (I specifically mean the 980.032L, not the earlier 'non L' model)

It has the original Heuer bracelet, original to this watch, as the endlinks were slimmer to fit the slimmer case.

The case is unpolished, has a tiny scratch on the crown guards. I resisted brushing it out, leaving the case untouched. Has a tiny mark on the dial. Has had a new glass & gasket. Push down crown (which is correct - see details on my blog), it passed a pressure test about 12 months ago - (I think it was tested to 50m) by Martins of Glasgow.

I love this watch, but it just doesn't get worn, it's been sat in my watch box for well over a year, maybe 18moths, so time for someone else to enjoy it. It's by no means a safe queen, but it is very clean and sharp. One of the nicest condition Heuer divers I've seen, and it's highly unlikely that you'll see another anytime soon.

Details of this very watch here on my blog: http://heuerville.wordpress.com/2012/08/27/heuer-night-diver-980-032l-1000-series/

£650 inc. del. or very nearest offer.
