on offer is a fantastic Lemania 1341 chronograph. this watch is the predecessor of the legendary Sinn 140/141/142 lineage (also known as the D1 and "veltraumchronograph" with Sinn's version having been worn into space by pioneering german astronaut Rheinhard Furrer). as you can see on the dial, this is the impossible-to-find Lemania version featuring the automatic Lemania 1341 chronograph movement which carries quite a bit of horological DNA from the Lemania 1873 used in Omega's Speedmaster "moonwatch".
specifics about this watch:
- man-sized 44mm x 15mm stainless steel case with 22mm lug spacing is in great shape given it's age. there are misc minor scuffs and dings, which should be expected of a vintage tool watch such as this. given the sharpness of the case, i believe the condition is original/unpolished -- and it looks the business!
- auxiliary crown at 10:00 is used to rotate the inner timing bezel and functions perfectly.
- winding crown at 3:00 was replaced by an aftermarket item; however, i have sourced a correct replacement crown & stem (made by omega fwiw) that are still in the mfg packaging and ready to be installed.
- flat mineral-glass crystal is in excellent condition, i can see no scratches or scuffs or marks of any sort with my eyes.
- all timekeeping/setting/chronograph/resetting functions work perfectly and the watch keeps great time (service history unknown) and the autowinding feature is pretty handy, too.
- comes fitted with the croco-grain calfskin strap as pictured.
this is a very handsome and interesting and quite honestly impossible-to-find timepiece. i'm asking $1875 shipping inclusive in CONUS. check out the pics for yourself:
