Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
For Sale is my vintage Rolex Submariner 5513. It has a serial number of 6.7 million, is marked 5513 on the case but 5512 on the back (which I believe is relatively common). It also has a 1520 movement.
The dial is a lovely maxi dial which I believe is a series v dial. Given the 6.7 million serial number this seems a more recent dial to the case and movement so may indicate a service dial change but with Rolex serial numbers, cases, movements and dials being so varied I cannot confirm either way but would rather be honest.
The watch is on what I believe to be the correct bracelet, a 93150 with 580 end pieces.
The case is in lovely condition
The bezel again, for the age, is in excellent condition though there is a scuff at the '30' marker
Hands and markers in great condition
Dial has some fade on edges but is matte
Crystal is correct domed plexi in good condition
Bracelet has dent on clasp where diver lock connects but doesn't affect functionality.
Overal it is a really beautiful, clean, vintage 5513 sub before they started getting white gold around the markers etc.
Price is £3,500 GBP + P&P. payment by Bankwire. Will accept Paypal but buyer to pay 4% fee.
Would prefer UK sale. Am often in London so could meet face to face if that suits.
Thanks for your time and if you ahve any queries or want any additional photos please drop em an e-mail
