Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
: From your 'offer' of $50, I guess you're auditioning to replace
: Jack Klugman!!
: The work was done by a well-known and extremely experienced
: repairer of 50 years. He is currently still working past normal
: retirement age as he loves it so much. I have trusted my
: Breitling Navitimer with him and have several friends in the
: golf club for whom he has done work on Rolex and Omega watches.
: So, no, he is not a Heuer agent, but I would not trust something so
: dear to me to someone who I did not believe to be totally
: capable.
: Geoff
If I'm honest, the $50 was a bit on the cheap side but I always feel that 'offers' is a cheap way of a seller auctioning their items, I offer $50, the next guy $100 and so it continues. They are your watches to sell, so sell them, be brave and post your price, then we don't have to play internet pin-pong, seemingly getting no closer to a conclusion.
Look down the page (or even up!) and you can get an idea of what people are selling their similar items for... Unless you fancy yourself as Tony Randall - Hey, we could make a good team! :)
