Having just bought another watch and being in negotiation on another, I'm going to have to let my recently acquired Polluce Bronze go.
This 2006 watch is rare - just 149 were made.
The watch will come with the OE strap complete with signed buckle.
The watch case has been "dulled down" by me using some vinegar and now looks like this.
Some shots pre the vinegar treatment
The new owner can choose to leave the watch as is of course or polish it & start the ageing process again.
Lume's good
On my 7.25" inch wrist - the case is 43mm excluding the crown.
A couple of the previous owners pics showing the box etc.
Time keeping is very good.
Given the excellent condition and rarity of this watch I'm asking £1,900.00 (net of all fee's) to include fully insured UK postage. I'm happy to post overseas but we'd need to work out the postage & insurance.
Any questions by PM please, but NO TRADES THANKS unless you happen to have a PVD Autavia ref 111.603
A bit of background info - CNS and Marine Consulting Srl who both supplied the manpower for the recovery of the Polluce Steamer that sank in 1841 in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the coast of Tuscany. The ship was said to be carrying gold bullion treasure valued at ‘hundreds of millions of dollars’ The divers chose to wear the Anonimo Millemetri timepiece during the operations. In May 2006 Anonimo introduced a commemorative watch based on the Millemetri to celebrate the watch’s involvement in the operation to salvage the treasures from the shipwreck. That watch would of course be named Polluce & carries both firms logo's.
The bronze version was an innovation for the watch making industry as the bronze alloy used is identical to that traditionally employed in naval construction for items such as ship’s propellers.
