Here's a recent acquisition that's just not getting any wrist time and also need to raise cash for something special...
The Rolex 6202 Turn O Graph is the precursor to the Submariner. I acquired this watch from the UK where the previous owner had the case refinished beautifully. The movement had to be partially rebuilt and serviced but its a correct 645 (also known as A260). No servicing necessary. It did not come with a bezel or insert or crystal. I sourced and installed a correct NOS Rolex Tropic10 crystal.
Notice the fancy engraving on the caseback:
"J Crouch
RN
960711"
This obviously was not an issued watch but I am told the original owner was in the Royal Navy. I've had no luck tracking down "J Crouch" as Royal Navy archives make it difficult unless you are family.
Pictures speak for themselves. Asking for a very reasonable US$6200 shipped. Bank wire please. I believe this is an incredible price for an original 6202 and reflects the cost of finding an original bezel and insert to complete the watch. The watch comes with that new amazing vintage leather strap shown.
I'm in Toronto Canada. Please contact me at vtham1 AT gmail DOT com for quickest response. Many references. Final sale.
Thanks
