Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Up for sale is my almost completely original and recently serviced Cal12 11630 MH from the mid- to late-1970s. I spent ages looking for one of these and eventually found one in completely original and untouched condition. It went straight off to Duncan at Genesis Watchmaking (a very well respected watch repairer in the UK), who serviced the watch and replaced the mineral crystal in September 2012 at a cost of £320.
I bought the watch from a chap in Wales who'd looked after it incredibly well, using it mainly for Sunday best or special occasions. As such it's in remarkably good condition with fantastic patina on the insert, which goes ghost-like at certain angles, and a really crisp case with the original brushing.
The only downsides are a chip in the main chrono hand and one of the pusher covers has been squashed, although it's on the back of the watch so not visible in normal use. It is however a freshly serviced watch in lovely condition and with beautiful patina.
The watch comes on an almost new rally strap. Price is £1,850 plus RMSD in the UK. I can post abroad but it will go with insurance to the full value.
