: with date in all original Very Good vintage condition. This cult
: classic features a Near Mint gloss black dial with silver print
: and sports its full length signed JB Champion steel bracelet.
: While its service history is unknown, this great Sea Wolf is
: keeping good time and running strong and I have cleaned off the
: case, degunked the bezel assembly and ultrasonically cleaned the
: bracelet. Zodiacs are absolutely one of the best values in the
: vintage watch world and the Sea Wolf is a true icon.

: CASE & BACK: Classic Sea Wolf stainless steel case measures
: 35mm wide (not including crown) x 43mm and shows little
: if any polish with the lugs quite thick and edges sharp. The
: case obviously shows its years, as this was no safe queen, and
: has numerous scratches and light nicks but no major dings. The
: underside of the case shows some light pitting beneath the
: "12" lugs. Complete 1.88 mil serial number is legible
: between the "6" lugs despite some end piece wear.
: Conservatively and by my strict standards, I rate the case as in
: Very Good and probably unpolished vintage condition. The outer
: steel caseback has some light scratches and also shows little if
: any polish with all correct brand & model nomenclature
: sharp--Excellent cosmetic condition overall. Normally, I would
: open the watch to take pictures but these Sea Wolf snap backs
: are really difficult to pry open without damaging them and I
: don't have the tools or expertise to do it.

: DIAL & HANDS: Beautiful Near Mint original factory printed
: gloss black dial with silver text; applied Zodiac logo, luminous
: triangles at "12", "6" and "9",
: lume-filled bar markers for the rest; and framed date window.
: There are no real apparent flaws to the surface and very few
: signs of aging--anything seen in the pictures is the crystal.
: Original Tritium luminous will still glow briefly after light
: exposure and has acquired a very attractive ivory patina.
: Sword-and-Dagger-type hands show a bit more age, especially some
: evident corrosion to the surface of the minute hand, but still
: have their original Tritium luminous fill--Excellent original
: condition. It's not easy to find a black Sea Wolf dial in this
: kind of outstanding condition--it's a really, really nice one!

: BEZEL: Original base metal knurled rotating divers bezel shows
: brassing along the edges, loss of paint to the sunken figures
: and numerous scratches--Good overall condition. It rotates
: pretty loosely in both directions, as seems to be the case on
: most of these, but the ratcheting ball bearing is still embedded
: in the case so it does still click along.

: CROWN: Correct Zodiac-signed push in-type crown winds effectively
: but with some definite slippage and pulls out to the non-hack
: time setting positions as it should.

: CRYSTAL: Seemingly original low dome acrylic crystal in Good to
: Fair condition with some fairly deep scratches/scrapes and some
: other marks.

: MOVEMENT: As stated above, I can't open this case to view the
: movement but I reckon it is the Zodiac caliber 72. A semi-quick
: movement, one moves the hands between about 20:00 and 24:00
: hours to rapidly advance the date. While I do not know the
: service history and cannot guarantee that it will not need
: service in future, this watch is running strong and keeping
: great time with correct date changeover slightly before midnight
: and of course I guarantee this to be the case at the time of
: shipment. If you don't have you're your own watchmaker and want
: the watch serviced before you take delivery, I can have it done
: for a special buyer's price in addition to the total. Please
: allow 2-4 weeks minimum turnaround time and the watch will
: subsequently come with a 6-month movement warranty.

: BRACELET: This classic Sea Wolf comes on its original signed JB
: Champion stainless steel band in Very Good condition with only
: light stretch and some scratches to the buckle and surface of
: the links. At its smallest, it fits my 7 1/4" wrist tightly
: and it should fit up to a 7 3/4" or slightly larger wrist
: at its maximum extension. These original signed JB Champion
: bracelets are getting thin on the ground so this is real added
: value to an already terrific watch.
