For sale is a Vintage BUCHERER Automatic Chronograph Ref. 9801. Circa 1974.
Satin Finish / Brushed Solid Stainless Steel case and screw caseback with BUCHERER Swiss engraved inside the caseback. Case is free of cosmetic blemishes or imperfections. No dings, dents or scratches.
Original Sporty White Dial with Black Subdials at 6:00 and 9:00. Luminous Filled Black Hour and Minute Hands. Constant Seconds Register at 9:00. Bright Orange Airplane Shaped Hand points to perimeter 60 minutes recorder. Date window at 3:00.
This vintage Chronograph is equipped with the LEMANIA 1340 caliber. The LEMANIA 1340 was the first of the automatic chronograph movements beating at 28,800 per hour. It uses 22 jewels and is equipped with a ball bearing mounted bi-directional winding rotor, patented in 1970 by Piguet. This caliber is well known for being robust and having a large power reserve. Rotor is signed BUCHERER SWISS.
Watch, date and chronograph (start / stop / reset) functions are working properly.
