Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. FS: 1943 Hanhart Cal 41 Flyback

I've owned this lovely and unrestored example for six years and the time has come now to let it now go to a new caretaker. Other than its lower pusher which does not have the trademark Hanhart nipple, it is completely original and has matching numbers on case and movement. The dial is near perfect save two very small and nearly indistinguishable dots of discoloration. The hands retain all of their original tritium and are straight and true. The serrations of the crown are quite pronounced and free of nicks. The nickel on the end of the crown is thinning some but not yet showing brass. The nickel on the case is exceptionally well preserved and only showing very light brassing under the lugs. It polishes up beautifully with a jeweler's cloth. The case back shows some markings from an incorrect opening tool and though it could be cleaned up, I resisted any thoughts of restoration as I feel that these minor character marks are just part of the watch's life experience. The watch movement was fully overhauled by master watchmaker, Dave Stevens, of A Matter of Time in 2010 and Dave has inspected and lubed it where necessary each year since then. The chrono and flyback functions are working properly and the reset of hands are within a hair's width of perfectly straight. The watch is on a well suited Rob Montana leather strap to which he added a bit of maker's patina before sending it off to me. The image of the movement was taken before servicing.

The watch is priced firmly at $4500 US (net) and can be accomplished by wire transfer or PayPal. I can provide references here and elsewhere

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Cheers,

Jim
