Very Nice Mechanical and Cosmetic Original Condition

For sale is this very good condition (85%), rare Seiko Pilot Sliderule Calculator Automatic Chronograph from the 1970s. This difficult to find model is all original, including the bracelet, and is running flawlessly. Timekeeping is excellent, chrono functions are crisp and precise, and hands reset to zero. The acrylic crystal may be a newer replacement.

The movement in this Seiko is the 6138B with 21 jewels, and is a direct descendent of the famed Seiko 6139, which in May 1969 became the World’s First Automatic Chronograph to be offered for sale to the public, upstaging both the Zenith “El Primero” and the “Calibre 11” of the Breitling/Heuer/Buren/Hamilton group. The Calculator comes in a Seiko inner box in fair condition.

This vintage Seiko model measures 43.5mm x 44mm excluding crown, and approximately 14.5mm thick. The original bracelet will fit a wrist up to about 7.5”, with additional links available on eBay and the web.
