Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
As much as I love owning this watch, I rarely wear it.. so I've decided that it's for the chop, and hopefully someone will do it justice by wearing it.
I've done a small write-up on it, but not yet published it on my blog, but here are the specs...
It's a Military Issued British Royal watch, with the correct markings showing it was issued in 1972.
Asymmetrical military design case, 39-40mm, manual wind val. 7733. Chrono works as it should, and keeping good time.
Fixed bars, with 20mm lugs.
I've left the original crystal on it, and very lightly polished it, it retains it's battle scars & scratches. Please note, any scratches you see are on the crystal, not on the dial. You could replace it or a heavy polish would take out most of the marks.
It's all original, lume doesn't glow much.
Price is £1200 or very nearest offer. Comes with the tan zulu-esk strap shown.
I wasn't sure of the value, but there is an identical one (1974) up for auction at Watches of Knightsbridge soon (advertised on Chrono24.com), with an estimate of £1000 - 1500 +20% fees.
Thanks
Stewart
