I've made the decision to sell my Heuer 1163 Autavia Mark 6 Siffert with decimal bezel in very nice condition. Serial number is 241995. I've owned it for two and a half years. I simply don't wear it enough and it needs a new home where it will see the light of day every once in a while!
The Cal. 11 movement is very clean and was fully serviced in July 2013 by Craig Bergsma at Chronodeco. Craig also replaced the date wheel with a Cal. 12 wheel. It keeps great time; the chrono starts/stops and resets perfectly; the crystal, dial, and hands are in great original and unblemished condition. The case looks like it has never been anything but lightly polished, and could easily be professionally refinished. The blue chrono hand has a very tiny paint breakdown but very hard to pick out. Will come with a like-new deep blue leather racing strap from Abel Court.
The decimal bezel is super rare and in 95% condition. A very well respected watchmaker, and a member of the OTD forum, indicated to me he has seen only 10 of these in the last 10 years.
I am looking for a minimum net-to-me price of USD $9,650.00. I'll ship by what ever method the buyer wishes with cost of shipment and insurance to be for the buyer. I am going to leave this sale open for 3 days in case there is a buyer who is willing to offer more than my asking price. Note: It is commonly known that an Heuer 1163T Autavia Siffert, with decimal bezel, and without GF bracelet, was sold for $14,000 by Rick Harrison/Pawn Stars in Las Vegas earlier this year.
