Up for sale comes an ultra rare piece of racing history. This large black Valjoux 7733 Chronograph (40 mm without crown) is named “Renault Gordini elf” on the dial and has very unique orange colored subdial hands. I guess it was a special/limited edition made for the famous racing team Renault Gordini elf.
Gordini was a famous French sports car manufacturer and performance tuner, established in 1946 by Amédée Gordini, nicknamed "Le Sorcier" (The Sorcerer). Gordini became a division of Renault in 1968. Due to the name on the dial I guess it was built before Gordini was merged with Alpine to Renault Sport in 1976.
On the back you can clearly read Nr. 57. Black case is in good condition, silver crown and pushers, glass has some scratches and the unsigned black bracelet shows some signs of wearing. All functions are working, reset to zero is O.K. Service history unknown.
I did some research when I got this timepiece some years ago, but couldn´t find further informations. So if you are focused on racing chronographs and want to add this unique piece of motor sport history to your collection, this is your chance. Watch is based in Germany.
Price is 750 € plus shipping.
It's my first sale here. I'm serious private collector from Germany. Bank Wire is preferred but Paypal is OK + 2% to the buyer. stass (a) stasskomm.de
Many thanks
