Re: AOPA ? ? ?
In Response To: AOPA ? ? ? ()

Hi Jeff,

I think, it's definitely a real AOPA. Not sure, whether it has been distributed via AOPA or Breitling, but even Kurt Broendum, the Navitimer specialist, counts these 'Breitling / AOPA' marked navitimers to the AOPA series.
Furthermore, current AOPA Navitimers (distributed by AOPA) have the same marking.

Best regards
Simon

: I know that we usually don't discuss the watches being offered
: for sale here, but someone has privately suggested to me that
: this one may not actually be what the collectors call an AOPA
: Navitimer. As I understand it, this one would have been
: distributed through the normal Breitling dealer network, and not
: through the AOPA, I am told that the true AOPA watches have no
: Breitling logo and have the AOPA letters inside the wings.

: My apologies to all involved if my information is incorrect or
