Heuer Carrera 1153 S - Cal.11 from circa 1970

Watch head measures 38mm wide & has 20mm lugs.

The dial is strong with little to no fading. Note there is a small mark crossing the letter U in the word AUTOMATIC. The hands are clear & bright as can be seen in the photo's. The watch is Heuer signed on the dial , crown, inner backcase & movement.

These silver metallic dials change colour depending upon the light & angle you look at them. Sometimes they are almost white in appearance then with a roll of the wrist they change to champagne gold.
The case has been previously polished & it has a some marks which are visible in my photo's but overall its very pleasing.
Cal.11 movement is running well, everything functioning as it should - time / date /chronograpgh

I note the watch was originally worn on the bracelet so although the case model number is readable under the loupe the serial number is partly rubbed away ( a common event in this model ).

The dial is a Cal.11 variant - easily spotted by the 3,6,9,12 nummerals in the 12 hour chrono register. The tachy scale & hands are most commonly seen on Cal.12 variants. Its impossible to say for sure if this watch represents a transitional model from the Cal.11 to the Cal.12 executions or if during its life it received change over parts at service but rest assured these are all genuine 1153 Carrera components & look evenly aged & just look right together !

The watch comes on a good black rally strap with a modern 18mm Heuer signed buckle as show in the pictures.
