FS: Heuer Autavia 11630 Automatic Chronograph Cal. 12

Hi all, up for sale is a vintage Heuer Autavia, Reference 11630 circa 1979. The Autavia is one of Heuer’s most popular models and features the venerable Caliber 12 automatic chronograph movement. Heuer chronographs have seen a recent explosion in popularity amungst collectors and we are happy to be able to help this Autavia find a home in your collection.
Condition is per the photos and as follows:

Case: 42mm case in good condition with no major scratches or dents. There are some light scratches and minor dings throughout commensurate with age. The case has previously been polished but still shows the polished chamfers and sunburst finishing on the top of the case. Serial number is 360XXX dating the watch to approximately 1979.

Bezel: 60 click bidirectional minute and hour counter bezel. Bezel action is smooth. Insert appears to be an aftermarket replacement.

Dial/Hands: Original matte black dial with orange accents in the minute totalizer subdial in very good condition. The original lume plots have faded to a creamy patina. There is very minor wear to the “R” and shield in the Heuer logo as shown. The subdials have faded to a very nice chocolate patina from the original grey as have the colored accents in the minute totalizer subdial. Date wheel is silver and appears original. The hands have been refinished.

Caseback: Original caseback in good condition with some scratching and wear as shown.

Crystal: Original mineral glass crystal in excellent condition.

Movement: Heuer Cal. 12 automatic chronograph movement in excellent running condition. The watch keeps great time and the chronograph starts, stops, and resets. The chronograph seconds
hand will sometimes reset very slightly past the zero mark.

Bracelet/Strap: New unworn black perforated leather rally style strap with polished SS buckle.

Box/Papers/Accessories: None. Sold as watch only.
